Swords and Sorcery type stuff.
Dragons, high adventure, magic, you get the idea.
Very often I try to write about characters or events
that occurred in role-playing games that I was either
a part of or ran myself.
Probably my worst area, I tend to write this kind of stuff
after I read a Stephen King or Elmore Leonard novel or some
other writer who does modern day stuff really well. Sometimes
it’s just a dialogue experiment.
Spaceships, aliens, lasers, cyberpunk, and other science
fictiony type stuff. Some of these ideas as well came
from role-playing games I was part of, and then on the
other hand some of this is just bizarre ideas I had for no
apparent reason.
Sunsword himself convinced me to write this for a contest
where people submitted scripts and if they won they got their
movie made. He supplied the idea, I wrote the script. We didn't
enter after we found out if we lost we didn't own the rights to
our movie. Read it and weep. Or laugh. Or whatever.
