Late Dinner Party at the Outback Steakhouse
Birthday Pics
Cool Anime DvD Empire Earth, studly pose not included
I had a late birthday dinner with a buncha close friends, and beyond their wonderful comopany, I also got a few presents! First, I got some Lord of The Rings toys from the Brady Bunch. The package contained an Orc as well as the hobbits Merry and Pippin! In addition, Kimberly gave me a copy of the game Empire Earth, as well as a new anime DVD called, "X."

tOAD was kind enough to give me Ghost Recon, so now I can get in on all the shoot 'em up fun! Watch out Chairman POW.
Park Flying during the day
My wonderful wife, Kimberly, gave me a fantastic gift for X-mas: A Firebird II remote controlled airplane (sometimes also referred to as a "Park Flier")! The Firebird II is a ready-to-fly kit that comes with everything, transmitter, motor, battery, charger, propeller, and even an extra wing! I only got to fly it once or twice while we were in Illinois for the holiday. The disadvantage to these planes is that they don't have much power, so they don't fly well in even a little wind. So what'd I do? I flew it anyway. I must've crashed five or six times, and there really wasn't enough room in the area where I was flying, so I landed it in a tree once or twice.

Anyway, today, I took this sucker out behind my house where there's a soccer field and plenty of open space, and not much wind! It flew great. I had a wonderful time, and I put it in a tree once! Click on links below to see the pics...

You have to throw it just right... Or your wife ends up giggling mercilessly

A hawk attacked the plane, so I took evasive maneuvers... but I forgot to evade the tree

Musta used the ejection seat. A, another view of the happy pilot.

Oh, and all the pics were taken with my new digital camera, a Kodak DC265. Happy birthday to me!
