Who Is Janey?

I am Kerry Jane, but when I play games, it is usually as Janey.  I write about my observations playing games.  Originally, I posted them to Usenet, but then I got myself a web site.  I read the Mud-Dev list, which I mostly lurk on, but sometimes if I get too passionate about something, I speak up.  That's how David Bennett noticed me, and asked if he could publish a couple of my articles on Imaginary Realities, to which I happily agreed.  What was really surprising was that my site was linked by the venerable Lum The Mad, who wrote for a website which I read at least three times a week.  Whaddaya know.  Maybe I really am famous.  ;)  Course, Lum linked me during the dot.bomb/looking for webspace era, so he linked the old Geocities page that refuses to die.  (which doesn't really matter now since the site is defunct anyway)

This is Janey of Leinster. She lived there, in what used to be Sierra's Realm, for almost two years, and then got itchy feet and decided to move to Britannia.

In this photo, she is standing at The Mudhole. The Mudhole is a special spot for Janey. It was where friends would meet and have fun. The Mudhole was named because of Janey. See how her toe is stuck in the mud? That's why this spot is called The Mudhole.

This is a picture of Janey after she arrived in Britannia (Lake Superior Shard). She finally got to wear Dark Green... she finally got to have a bow... and she finally got to have long hair. She was thrilled. The bad part about Britannia is that everyone is Stepford Children and has the same face. Oh well. Maybe eventually Lord British will see fit to let us have our own faces some day.

I took another picture now that it says I am Famed. I suppose it is kind of fitting. But I still wish it would say Master Archer there rather than Master Warrior.

Right now, Janey is not Janey; she is Rori Faiyr, level fifty-something Woodelf Chick Druid on Everquest.  She's on the E'Ci server, and a member of <The Arbiters>.  Rori wants three things out of this game:  Her epic weapon, a green tunic that does not show cleavage, and anything with the effect of "Flowing Thought."  If she ever gets those three things, she'll probably never see the light of day except to help guildmates or what-have-you.

When I tire of playing Rori, I play Jaini O'Brae the Woodelf Chick Ranger, on the same server (read: TWINK!).  It is fun to just play, though, and not have to worry about loot.  She's got all the loot she needs to hold her for another 15 levels at least, which is really great.  Jaini's current goal is to get two more levels so she can have Spirit of the Wolf and Rule The World!

Over to the left is Dark-Age-Of-Camelot Janey.

She's the best Janey yet.  Her face is good -- not a lot of make-up; fairly plain features.  Her body is good -- well proportioned, non-melonesque breasts.  Her clothes are good -- good colors and materials; they look Real.  Also - happy happy joy joy - they don't show Cleavage.  They look like female-archer clothes rather than Xena Warrior Princess clothes.  Thumbs up.

Not to mention a BIG HONKIN' BOW and a sword at my hip.  Love it.

I probably should've shrunk this picture... but I just can't bear to do it; it's just so great.  Sooo.. in order to fill up some space, I'll write a haiku.

I look very good
They know how to draw women
No complaints from me

:)
